Chimney sweeping

Often times we are asked how we do a chimney cleaning or chimney sweeping. In short we basically wire brush and scrub the inside of the flue. To do chimney sweeping, first we find a brush that fits the exact size of the flue. Then we proceed to “scrub” hence chimney sweeping the inside of the flue with the wire brush connected to interlocked fiberglass poles. Once this process is complete, most or all of the soot and debris has fallen to the bottom of the chimney. At that point we either shovel or vacuum out all the debris. The average cleaning job takes about 20-30 minutes. We also have extensive experience in installing chimney liners, stainless steel chimney raincaps, chimney repairs, stonework, and flashing repairs. We are based in Johnstown, Pa. and service Altoona, Pa., Blairsville, Pa., Bellwood, Pa., Indiana, Pa., Somerset, Pa., Ligonier, Pa., Bedford, Pa., Ebensburg, Pa., Northern Cambria, Pa., Latrobe, Pa. which also includes Cambria, Somerset, Indiana, Bedford, Westmoreland and Blair counties in south central Pa.
